Paper Plates, Paint and Persistence

In Little Ossies we have continued to investigate Dinosaurs in our classroom and in the last week we have been making some dinosaurs out of paper plates.

We started by cutting out shapes using paper plates.

We used staplers to join pieces together to make the plates look like different dinosaurs.

You had to concentrate very hard when you were cutting out your dinosaur shape.

After we made our dinosaur shape out of the plate we painted the dinosaurs.  They looked so fantastic we thought we needed to make a background to put them on to display.

We worked in teams to do some roller painting, brush painting, gluing and cutting things for a volcano background.

We roller painted and painted the background.

We pinched cotton balls and glued them on clouds shapes for the sky.

Our dinosaurs love being in their special environment.

We persisted for a long time to make our dinosaur scene.  We think it looks great!
