Planting Trees at the Briars

The preps have just had the most wonderful time at the Briars, walking in the bush, getting rained upon, planting trees, giving them protection, getting grubby,  eating sausages and icy poles and getting to ride in a bus….and ALL the time having great fun with friends and family.

The Rotary club organised for us to help with tree planting and then they very generously supplied and cooked a sausage sizzle for us too. We have been very lucky indeed. We hope that the trees we planted will grow quickly for the native birds and animals to use. We were told that the sheoaks are going to be for the black cockatoos. We will have to go back in a few years time to see how they have grown and maybe see which animals are there too. Enjoy looking at some of our photos of our very first excursion and you can even see some of the drawings and writing we chose to do back at school with Prep B afterwards.
