Eddy continued to have lots of fun in the UK.
Here are some of the things which he discovered.
Eddy went to quite a few different museums. Here he is feeling very brave at the museum in Oxford.
Eddy climbed even more towers. This time he was looking over All Souls College in Oxford where there was a sun dial which helped you tell what time it was.
Eddy and Miss Griffiths went punting on a boat. You didn’t have oars to move the boat along the river, the boat was moved with just one big pole.
Eddy went to some big houses which had huge gardens. He is having a snooze in the meadow here near Highclere Castle.
Eddy also had a small plane journey to Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
This is the wobbly bridge which Eddy found to walk across.
The bridge was very wobbly, but Eddy had to cross it to get to a little island at Carrick-a-Rede in Northern Ireland.
Eddy went to The Giant’s Causeway and climbed across lots of rocks which were amazing shapes.
Eddy also found a Giant’s Teddy at the Giant’s Causeway.
Then Eddy found a boot which the Giant at the Giant’s Causeway left behind. The boot was size 94 1/2 – VERY BIG!
Eddy walked along more cliff tops, these are the Cliffs of Moher.
Eddy also went to a glass blowing factory in Waterford and found a football made out of crystal.
There was even a Fire-fighter helmet made out of crystal.
After all his adventures, Eddy was able to have a sleep and listen to some music on the long flight home.
Eddy is really looking forward to seeing the Little Ossies and introducing some new friends to them. There may be more visitors than just Eddy in the classroom when he comes back to school.

We are well and truly back into the swing of school life again after our term holiday break and the Preps are having lots fun following areas of interest in their investigations sessions. These lovely ladies are creating dress designs for their classmates and dolls. Although they are still in the design stage, some paper pattern-making has already even begun and fabric is being carefully selected.
These young gentlemen have been researching dragons on their computers and are now copying the illustrations to create their own dragon puppets. Such artistic skill! Do you think they will be able to tame their dragons?
These focused, hard working lasses are busily working together to create books for their own little library in our classroom. Animal books are all the go at the moment!
These two young lads have already created a collection of pet rocks and are now in the process of developing pictures and scenes for their own pet rock movie show.
With help from the wonderful Simone, these green thumb preps are planting some ‘bush tucker’ plants in our Prep garden. Our garden bed was looking pretty good before but now it is fantastic.
These gorgeous girls are enjoying putting their craft skills to work and combined with their interest in numbers, they’ve created number flowers and spotty bunnies. We counted one bunny’s dots and you won’t believe it, but he has 78 dots on him already!
Stay tuned to see more fun and investigations in Prep.

We have just had some wonderful chilly and foggy weather. The preps have been monitoring the weather and are becoming quite talented weather reporters. Today we enjoyed being chilly in the fog. Do you know that it was only 9 degrees at school this morning? It was lots and lots of fun.
Our Prep sandpit area usually looks quite different to this!
Maybe Eddy the Teddy might think that we are in the UK!

Eddy has been very busy over the last few weeks.
He has seen lots of different things in his time in the UK.
Eddy has got stuck in a few places. He didn’t fit through the walls at Windsor Castle.
He found a garden that reminded him of Mr McGregor’s garden. Eddy thought about stopping for a nibble on some carrots, but then he saw a gardener in the garden.
Eddy has been climbing up big steps to little castles.
And also climbed to the top of some really big castles!
He has seen some amazing white cliffs at Birling Gap and then at Dover.
Eddy didn’t want to blow off the top of the cliffs, because it was a really long way down to the bottom.
He tried to call someone in Australia, but then he remembered that it was about 4am there and that they wouldn’t really want to be woken from sleeping.
At the bottom of some of the White Cliffs Eddy found a big chunk of chalk which had fallen from the cliff. The chalk was very soft and Eddy decided to write his name in the chalk. Maybe the Little Ossies can find something which they can write their name on (that isn’t paper) to show Eddy when he gets back.

This week the children in the Prep classes are being meterologists studying the weather. We made weather windows and looked at signs of the weather in the sky, trees and on the ground. We recorded our observations on a weekly weather chart. We wondered what the weather would be like for the rest ofthe week. The last two days have been cloudy and rainy and the forecast for this week is for more cloud and rain and also some stong winds! I think we will all need to wrap up warm and get out our raincoats!
Looking at the clouds and trees.
Looking in the puddles for signs of rain.

Eddy Teddy set off to the airport hoping that he would remember all of the things you have to do to get on an aeroplane.
Eddy had his own special place to sit and watch from.
Eddy knew he had to buckle up his seat belt low and tight.
It was a very long flight and Eddy knew he needed to drink lots of water. Here he is drinking sparkling water with morning tea.
It was such a long journey that Eddy had to get off the plane at other airports. Here he is watching the plane getting refuelled.
Eddy also enjoyed watching ‘Rio 2’ on the flight.
And of course Eddy had to show his passport to Immigration in both Australia and where he was flying to. Immigration were very impressed that Eddy had such a lovely Australian passport.
Eddy was pretty tired after spending a whole day and night on aeroplanes, but luckily it was night time where he was, so he could go straight to sleep when he arrived.
